3 Later Round Fantasy Football QBs Worth a Start in Week 1

 G-RANK Week 1: QB12

 Check waivers, because there's a chance Baker Mayfield went undrafted in your league - or better yet, if you're still drafting, consider Mayfield as one of your last picks to give you a plug-and-play week 1 start. This game has the highest Week 1 O/U (50.5) and features 2 teams that should be mediocre to less-than-stellar on the defensive side of the ball. The Bengals were the 6th worst defense in 2025 against QBs for fantasy, meaning this matchup should be juicy for Baker. Just pay attention to Emeka Egbuka's toe injury, as his absence in Week 1 could lead me to lean in another direction as a tiebreaker.

 Another game with a juicy O/U (49.5), I'm pretty confident this one will be a bit of a shootout and feature a lot of passing on both sides of the ball. Goff should have his full array of pass-catching weapons, and now that David Montgomery is in Houston, I'm curious if the team reverts to throwing the ball more in 2026, especially with how dangerous Jahmyr Gibbs is in open space as a receiver. You might have better options at QB, but Goff should be in consideration for a start Week 1 in deeper leagues.

 Unless you're in a very shallow league, it's unlikely Dart went un-drafted. But maybe you snagged him alongside another QB and are debating who to start. I have Dart solidly in the QB1 range this week going up against the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. While Dallas' defense could be slightly improved this year, I still expect it to be one to target for opposing fantasy players, meaning Dart could put up big numbers in Week 1. With Nabers trending in the right direction, Dart's early season prospects are a lot more exciting for me than they were a month ago.
