Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints

G-RANK Week 1: WR7

With Jordyn Tyson out for the foreseeable future, Chris Olave becomes a weekly WR1 in my book. Olave finished the 2025 regular season with 9 targets, 16 targets, and 11 targets in his last 3 games with Shough under center. It's very possible we see that type of volume again in Week 1 against the Lions, a team I expect will run up the score and require the Saints to throw the ball to stay in it. If you've got Olave, you have a potential week-winning WR for Week 1.

Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers

G-RANK Week 1: WR15

Not a lot of people have been talking about Tetairoa McMillan, but he's quietly a great play for Week 1. If you drafted him, you're probably starting him anyway, but Tet gets a home matchup against the Chicago Bears, a team that gave up the 3rd most fantasy points to WRs in 2025. The last time we saw Bryce Young on the field, he almost took down the L.A. Rams in the playoffs; I'm not convinced he'll elevate McMillan to top 10 receiving levels this year, but if he can be marginally better, it sure will help.

Chris Godwin Jr., Tampa Bay Buccaneers

G-RANK Week 1: WR36

If you're looking for a deeper flex play, Chris Godwin Jr. might have the fast track to an above average Week 1. Emeka Egbuka's status is in question, and even if he suits up, Godwin could get the majority of the looks from Baker Mayfield in a game against a very bad Cincinnati pass defense. If Egbuka doesn't play, Godwin should be an automatic start, but even if he doesn't, you might benefit from a spot flex start if you're in a deeper league.
