Omarion Hampton, Los Angeles Chargers

G-RANK Week 1: RB2

I don't have to tell you to start Omarion Hampton if you drafted him... that one's pretty obvious. You're going to be hard-pressed to find a fantasy option with a better Week 1/2 start. Hampton gets the Cardinals in Week 1 (the Chargers are 10.5-point favorites). That's a team that gave up nearly 23 points per game to fantasy RBs last season, and the Cardinals don't project to have gotten much better. With Las Vegas in Week 2, it's not hard to imagine Omarion Hampton is leading the league in fantasy points after the first 2 weeks.

Travis Etienne Jr., New Orleans Saints

G-RANK Week 1: RB15

A lot of things are working in Travis Etienne's favor this week: Alvin Kamara is banged up and is questionable to play. Jordyn Tyson's absence paves the way for more work in the receiving game. And the Lions present a juicy a 49.5-point O/U - a game I expect to feature a lot of offense and fantasy relevance on both sides of the ball. I'm not sure Etienne Jr. is going to break records on the ground in Week 1, but there's a legitimate path to him catching 6 or 7 passes and finishing the week as an RB1 from your RB2 spot.

Bucky Irving, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

G-RANK Week 1: RB26

Give me Bucky Irving in the flex, and I'm very excited with how my week 1 lineup is shaking out. We still don't know how involved Kenny Gainwell is going to be in the passing game and how much goal-line work Sean Tucker is going to take, but we know Bucky should lead this team in touches. I'll take that in a game against the hapless Cincinnati Bengals' defense that gave up the 2nd most fantasy points to opposing running backs last year. Depending on how the work shakes out, Bucky might not be a "set it and forget it" RB, but with the week 1 matchup, I'm more than happy throwing him in my RB2 or flex spot.
